Compakomatic offers many different types of Linear Machines. These machines are designed to traverse a wire drive system, machine barrel or welding torch in a straight line to produce linear seam welds without moving either the piece part or the upper structure of the machine. This basically makes the Model 1015 Series SeamMatic machine similar in concept to the straight line equivalent to the Rotomatic circular welding machines. The machines can be equipped to traverse and weld with either one, two, three or four torches simultaneously and its building block approach, incorporating a variety of options, allows the machine to be configured to fit most applications and budgets. The system is also available in a fixture builders package under the Model 1014 Saris number. The linear motion mechanism can also be purchased as a separate component as the Model 440 Linear Seamer. The standard travel length is six inches with longer and shorter travel lengths available upon request. Several models of the 440 are available for various payload weights.
